Case Study: RDW Scenery & Bear Grylls Fitness

The Project

RDW Scenery Construction’s brief from Oxygen Free Jumping was to deliver a cost effective steel frame together with associated stairs, walkways and railings to be used as an assault course. These had to be rugged enough to withstand daily use, have an industrial look and be delivered within fairly tight time schedules and budgets to each of the Oxygen centres around the country. They also needed to meet the high standards expected from the Bear Grylls Fitness team.

In Stock Ready for Delivery

We turned to ParkerSteel to provide all the Tube Clamp handrailing for this project as they carried enough stock for the quick turnarounds needed. They were also very helpful in deciding which railing system to use, and very competitive on the price. Adam, our contact in the tools section, was always polite and very helpful especially when we put him under pressure!

ParkerSteel Service and Customer Satisfaction

There is a lot of Tube Clamp railing in each frame and as this was a new project/concept the designs evolved as the frames were constructed. This sometimes involved last minute changes to the types and quantities of fittings needed, which in turn would lead to a last minute call to Adam to get the order and fittings out for next day delivery. The fact that we are still talking is a testament to how well the team at ParkerSteel & ParkerTools performed this task !!

Final Say

"We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend ParkerSteel to anyone, they are always helpful and carry the stock levels to enable them to turn orders around in the very short time frames we are usually working to in our industry." RDW Scenery
